Abstrak. Penurunan produksi padi di Aceh Besar mengindikasikan tantangan serius, salah satunya adalah berkurangnya minat generasi muda untuk melanjutkan profesi sebagai petani. Penelitian ini menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat generasi muda dalam profesi orang tua sebagai petani padi di Kecamatan Indrapuri, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dengan metode regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor ekonomi keluarga, dan persepsi tantangan pekerjaan secara signifikan mempengaruhi minat generasi muda untuk menjadi petani padi, sedangkan dukungan keluarga tidak signifikan. Probabilitas minat generasi muda untuk melanjutkan profesi orang tua sebagai petani padi ditemukan sangat rendah (0,07414) dengan kondisi regresi logistik biner (y = "1" untuk berminat dan "0" untuk tidak berminat), menunjukkan ketidaktertarikan. Diperlukan upaya untuk menaikkan harga jual hasil pertanian sebagai salah satu solusi permasalahan ekonomi keluarga dan menyelaraskan persepsi terhadap tantangan pekerjaan sehingga generasi muda bersedia melanjutkan profesi orang tua sebagai petani padi.

Abstract. The decline in rice production in Aceh Besar indicates serious challenges, one of which is the reduced interest of the younger generation to continue their profession as farmers. This study analyzes the factors that affect the interest of the younger generation in the profession of parents as rice farmers in Indrapuri District, Aceh Besar Regency. This study uses quantitative analysis with a logistic regression method. The results showed that family economic factors, and the perception of job challenges significantly affected the interest of the younger generation to become rice farmers, while family support was not significant. The probability of the young generation's interest in continuing their parents' profession as rice farmers was found to be very low (0.07414) with a binary logistic regression condition (y = "1" for interested and "0" for disinterested), indicating disinterest. Efforts are needed to increase the selling price of agricultural products as one of the solutions to family economic problems and harmonize perceptions of job challenges so that the younger generation is willing to continue their parents' profession as rice farmers.
