This quantitative study calculates the language choice of Acehnese natives based upon family domains in bilingual Indonesian and Acehnese speech. The sources are Acehnese who inhabited at Sabang region for a long time. The parameters that are being used first through language choice between Indonesian, Indonesian/Acehnese, and Acehnese relate to the role of the relationship between husband to wife, father, mother, and their sons and daughters. The second is related to children's attitudes toward their language choice. The method approach is quantitative descriptive and was employed by the samples of 120 persons. The result shows that the average percentage of the language choice at the home of fathers/husbands was dominated by Indonesian, it was 66,67% and mothers/wives were 56,67%. While the average percentage of language choice of children was dominated by Indonesian as well, children to father were 66,67% and children to mothers were 63,33%. Regarding the children's language attitude, most of them agreed that Acehnese as the local language is important which stands as the symbol of culture and someone's personality. The result of this study showed that mostly fathers/husbands mothers/wives and children’s favorite language are Indonesian to communicate at home with family members. However, the children admitted that the Acehnese language as the local language is needed to be kept as the symbol of culture.
