Rendahnya pemahaman peserta didik kelas III SD tentang pembagian dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, antara lain pendekatan pembelajaran yang digunakan tidak sesuai dengan tingkat perkembangan kognitif peserta didik. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat menjembatani pemahaman peserta didik kelas III SD terhadap materi pembagian melalui pendekatan matematika realistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas III SD Negeri 1 Mata Ie pada materi pembagian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimen dan model One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel terdiri dari kelas eksperimen 18 siswa yang diterapkan pendekatan matematika realistik. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes essay sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Paired Sample t-Test dengan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistics Ver 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pendekatan matematika realistik pada materi pembagian terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hasil uji Paired Sample t-Test nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Hal ini membuktikan adanya perbedaan nilai pretest dan post-test yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen. Sehingga hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa “Terdapat pengaruh Pendekatan Matematika Realistik terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi pembagian di kelas III SD Negeri 1 Mata Ie kab. Aceh Besar”. Pendekatan Matematika Realistik memerlukan pengelolaan waktu yang efektif pada setiap tahap pembelajaran serta penguatan konsep pengurangan agar peserta didik dapat menerapkan pengurangan berulang dengan tepat dalam menyelesaikan pembagian.

The low level of understanding of third-grade elementary school students regarding division can be attributed to several factors, including the use of teaching approaches that are not appropriate for the cognitive development level of the students. One approach that can bridge the understanding of third-grade elementary school students regarding division is the realistic mathematic education. This study aims to determine the effect of the realistic mathematic education on the learning outcomes of third-grade students at Mata Ie 1 Public Elementary School on division material. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design and a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design model. The sample consisted of an experimental class of 18 students who were taught using the realistic mathematics education. Data were collected through multiple-choice tests before and after learning. Data analysis was performed using the Paired Sample t-Test with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics Ver 26. The results showed that there was an effect of the realistic mathematics education on division material on student learning outcomes. The results of the Paired Sample t-Test showed a Sig. value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. This proves that there is a significant difference between the pretest and post-test scores in the experimental class. Thus, the hypothesis in this study states that “There is an effect of the Realistic Mathematics education on student learning outcomes in division in grade III at SD Negeri 1 Mata Ie, Aceh Besar Regency.” The Realistic Mathematics education requires effective time management at each stage of learning as well as reinforcement of the concept of subtraction so that students can apply repeated subtraction correctly in solving division problems.
