Komunikasi matematis sangat diperlukan oleh siswa karena kemampuan komunikasi dapat membantu siswa merefleksikan dan menjelaskan pemikirannya. Rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam komunikasi terkait dengan pembelajaran matematika merupakan suatu peristiwa yang sering ditemukan oleh guru. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat dilakukan guru adalah menerapakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk White (TTW). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran tipe TTW terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada materi pythagoras di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 17 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desian pre-experimental design dengan jenis penelitian one-grup pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 17 Banda Aceh dan sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 25 siswa melalui teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pretest dan posttest. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji statistik-t, uji yang digunakan yaitu uji satu pihak, yaitu pihak kanan pada tarif signifikan 5%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai Karena t_hitung> t_tabel, yaitu 10,326 > 1,710. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran tipe TTW terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada materi pythagoras di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 17 Banda Aceh.

Mathematical communication is very necessary for students because communication skills can help students reflect and explain their thinking. The low ability of students in communication related to mathematics learning is an event that is often encountered by teachers. One alternative that teachers can do is apply the Think Talk White (TTW) type cooperative learning model. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the TTW type learning model on students' mathematical communication skills on Pythagorean material in class VIII SMP Negeri 17 Banda Aceh. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest research type. The population of this study were all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 17 Banda Aceh and the sample in this study was 25 students using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques use pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using the t-statistical test, the test used was a one-sided test, namely the right side at a significant rate of 5%. Based on the results of data analysis, the value obtained is because tcount > ttable, namely 10,326 > 1.710. So, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the TTW type learning model on students' mathematical communication skills in Pythagorean material in class VIII SMP Negeri 17 Banda Aceh Keywords: TTW, Mathematical communication skills, Pythagoras
