Program studi S1 Matematika Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Syiah Kuala merupakan salah satu program studi unggulan yang menawarkan pendidikan matematika berkualitas tinggi. Metode Triple Exponential Smoothing merupakan metode peramalan yang melakukan pemulusan pada data yang memuat trend dan musiman dan metode Weighted Moving Average merupakan metode peramalan yang memberikan bobot berbeda pada nilai-nilai yang digunakan dalam perhitungan rata-rata bergerak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode mana yang lebih baik dalam menetukan peramalan banyaknya peminat calon mahasiswa baru Prodi Matematika Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Syiah Kuala. Dari hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Triple Exponential Smoothing memiliki nilai akurasi peramalan yang lebih baik dalam peramalan banyaknya peminat calon mahasiswa baru Prodi Matematika Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Syiah Kuala.

S1 Mathematics study program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Syiah Kuala University is one of the leading study programs that offers high quality mathematics education. The Triple Exponential Smoothing method is a forecasting method that performs smoothing on data containing trends and seasonality and the Weighted Moving Average method is a forecasting method that gives different weights to the values used in the moving average calculation. This study aims to determine which method is better in determining the forecasting of the number of new student applicants for the Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Syiah Kuala University. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the Triple Exponential Smoothing method has a better forecasting accuracy value in forecasting the number of new student applicants for the Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Syiah Kuala University.
