The objective of this qualitative descriptive research is to identify the translation techniques employed in the Indonesian subtitles of the movie 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'. The data for this study were collected from Disney's official streaming platform, Disney+. The data were gathered by transcribing the dialogue of the movie and its corresponding Indonesian subtitles, and then analysing them based on the classification proposed by Molina and Albir (2002). The findings reveal that out of the 18 translation techniques, 14 were utilized by the translator across a total of 1506 utterances. These techniques include established equivalent (30.9%), literal translation (30.8%), linguistic compression (17.8%) transposition (11.2%), borrowing, (2.5%), adaptation (2.3%), linguistic amplification (1.5%), amplification (0.8%), calque (0.9%), modulation (0.5%), generalization (0.3%), reduction (0.3%), particularization (0.1%), and substitution (0.1%). However, the techniques of compensation, description, discursive creation, and variation were not found in this research. The dominant type of translation technique founded in the Indonesian subtitle for the movie ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is Literal Translation with 465 data.
