Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan dikelas IV SD Negeri 62 Banda Aceh, ditemukan beberapa permasalahan yang teridentifikasi menyebabkan rendahnya minat peserta didik dan kurangnya variasi metode yang digunakan mengakibatkan peserta didik kurang tertarik dengan pembelajaran. Pembelajaran yang diterapkan guru masih konvensional, diantaranya menggunakan metode ceramah. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah kemampuan guru dalam mengimplementasikan model cooperative learning tipe STAD pada tema 7 (indahnya keragaman di negeriku) subtema 2 (indahnya keragaman budaya negeriku) pb 2 di kelas IV SD Negeri 62 Banda Aceh. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kemampuan guru dalam mengimplementasikan model cooperative learning tipe STAD pada tema 7 subtema 2 pb 2 di kelas IV SD Negeri 62 Banda Aceh.
Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 orang guru kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara. Seluruh data dari observasi dan wawancara diolah dengan tahap analisis data yaitu, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan guru dalam mengimplementasikan model cooperative learning tipe STAD pada tema 7 subtema
2 pb 2 di kelas IV SD Negeri 62 Banda Aceh sudah termasuk dalam kategori sangat mampu hal ini ditunjukkan dengan rentangan nilai 85% - 100% . Peserta didik terlibat aktif dalam proses belajar baik dilakukan secara kelompok maupun secara individu. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa guru di SD Negeri 62 Banda Aceh telah mampu menerapkan model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe STAD sesuai
dengan langkah-langkah yang terdapat pada model pembelajaran tersebut.

Based on observations made in class IV SD Negeri 62 Banda Aceh, it was found that several problems were identified that caused the low interest of students and the lack of variety of methods used resulted in students being less interested in learning. The learning applied by the teacher is still conventional, including using the lecture method. The formulation of the research problem is how the teacher's ability to implement the STAD type cooperative learning model on theme 7 (beautiful diversity in my country) sub-theme 2 (beautiful cultural diversity of my country) pb 2 in grade IV SD Negeri 62 Banda Aceh. The purpose of this study was to describe the teacher's ability to implement the STAD type cooperative learning model on the theme 7 sub-theme 2 PB 2 in the fourth grade of SD Negeri 62 Banda Aceh. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The subjects in this study were 3 fourth grade teachers. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews. All data from observations and interviews were processed with data analysis stages, namely, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the teacher's ability to implement the STAD type cooperative learning model on the theme of 7 sub-themes 2 PB 2 in grade IV SD Negeri 62 Banda Aceh is included in the very capable category, this is indicated by the value range of 85% - 100%. Students are actively involved in the learning process, both in groups and individually. This study concludes that teachers at SD Negeri 62 Banda Aceh have been able to apply the STAD type of cooperative learning model according to with the steps contained in the learning model.
