Penyakit zoonosis adalah penyakit yang dapat ditularkan dari hewan ke manusia dan sebaliknya. Penyebab utama penyebaran zoonosis adalah minimnya informasi atau pengetahuan sejak dini tentang penyakit yang dapat menular dari hewan ke manusia dan dari manusia ke hewan (zoonosis). Memberikan edukasi zoonosis dapat dilakukan sejak dini melalui jenjang pendidikan dasar (SD). Pendidikan dasar (SD) merupakan tahap pertama yang penting dan mendasar dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan seorang anak, karena pada usia ini seluruh potensi anak berkembang sangat pesat. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman terhadap zoonosis murid melalui karakter monzo. Parameter penelitian ini adalah pemahaman murid Sekolah Dasar Negeri kelas 5 dan 6 di Kota Banda Aceh terhadap zoonosis melalui karakter Monzo. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat deskriptif menggunakan data prospektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan 10 pertanyaan sebelum dan 10 pertanyaan sesusah diperkenalkan karakter monzo kepada 285 murid Sekolah Dasar Negeri yang terdiri dari sembilan Sekolah Dasar Negeri di kota Banda Aceh dan sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi. Etik penelitian ini diajukan kepada Komite Etik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Syiah Kuala, dengan nomor Ethical Clearance dari penelitian ini adalah: 090/EA/FK-RSUDZA/2022. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terjadi peningkatan sebesar 99,1% pada pemahaman murid terkait zoonosis sesudah diperkenalkan karakter Monzo. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa karakter Monzo dapat meningkatkan pemehaman murid Sekolah Dasar Kota Banda Aceh terhadap zoonosis.

Zoonoses are diseases that can be transmitted from animals to humans and vice versa. The main cause of the spread of zoonotic diseases is the lack of early information or knowledge about diseases that can be transmitted from animals to humans or from humans to animals. Providing zoonotic education can be done from an early age through basic education (SD). Elementary education (SD) is the first stage that is important and fundamental in the growth and development of a child because, at this age, the entire potential of a child develops very rapidly. The purpose of this research is to measure the improvement of students' understanding of zoonotic diseases through the Monzo character. The parameter of this research is the understanding of 5th and 6th-grade elementary school students in Banda Aceh about zoonotic diseases through the character of Monzo. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research using prospective data. This study used 10 questions before and 10 questions after the introduction of the Monzo character to 285 public elementary school students, consisting of 9 public elementary schools in the city of Banda Aceh and according to the inclusion criteria. The ethics of this research was submitted to the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University, with the Ethical Clearance number of this study: 090/EA/FK-RSUDZA/2022. Based on the results of the study, there was an increase of 99.1% in students' understanding of z oonotic diseases after the introduction of the Monzo character. This study concluded that the character of Monzo can improve elementary school students' understanding of zoonotic diseases in Banda Aceh City. Keywords: Zoonoses, character, understandin, Monzo
