Produksi perikanan tangkap lobster air tawar di perairan Danau Laut Tawar mencapai 9,1 ton pada tahun 2020. Diperlukan teknologi penangkapan ikan yang lebih efektif dan efesien, yaitu lewat uji coba alat tangkap baru menggunakan bubu lipat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kontruksi alat tangkap bubu wau dan bubu lipat dan mengetahui perbandingan hasil tangkapan lobster air tawar (Cherax quadricariatus) pada alat tanggkap bubu wau dan bubu lipat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode experimental. Peralatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa dua jenis bubu, yaitu bubu wau dan bubu lipat sebanyak 10 bubu tiap jenisnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2021pada perairan Danau Laut Tawar, Desa One-one, Kecamatan Luat Tawar, Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. Analisis yang dilakukan adalah uji – t secara manual, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan jumlah dan berat hasil tangkapan dari kedua jenis alat tangkap. Berdasarkan dari segi jumlah hasil tangkapan, alat tangkap bubu wau berhasil menangkap sebanyak 526 ekor, dan bubu lipat berhasil menangkap sebanyak 452 ekor. Berat hasil tangkapan lobster air tawar diperoleh oleh alat tangkap bubu lipat sebesar 14.875 gram, dan berat total hasil tangkapan bubu wau sebesar 9.685 gram. Terdapat perbandingan jumlah dan berat hasil tangkapan lobster air tawar yang didapat oleh kedua jenis alat tangkap. Sedangkan untuk panjang total hasil tangkapan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap perbedaan kedua jenis alat tangkap.

The production of freshwater lobster capture fisheries in the waters of Lake Laut Tawar reaches 9.1 tons in 2020. More effective and efficient fishing technology is needed, namely through trials of new fishing gear using bubu lipat. The purpose of this study was to describe the construction of bubu wau and bubu lipat fishing gear and to find out the comparison of freshwater crayfish catches on bubu wau and bubu lipat. The equipment used in this study consisted of two types of traps, namely bubu wau and bubu lipat of consist 10 each type. This research was conducted in March 2021 in the waters of Lake Laut Tawar, One-one Village, Luat Tawar District, Central Aceh Regency. The analysis carried out was a manual t-test, the results of this study showed that there were differences in the number and weight of the catches of the two types of fishing gear. Based on the number of catches, the fishing gear for bubu wau caught 526 fish, and the bubu lipat caught 452. The weight of the catch of freshwater crayfish obtained by the bubu lipat fishing gear is 14.875 grams, and the total weight of the catch of the bubu wau is 9.685 grams. There is a comparison of the number and weight of freshwater lobster catches obtained by both types of fishing gear. Meanwhile, the total length of the catch did not significantly affect the difference between the two types of fishing gear.
