Motivasi belajar merupakan salah satu faktor penentu keberhasilan proses pembelajaran, termasuk pada mata pelajaran sejarah. Rendahnya keterlibatan sebagian siswa dalam kegiatan belajar mendorong perlunya media pembelajaran yang lebih variatif dan interaktif, salah satunya media Seesaw. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui penerapan media pembelajaran Seesaw pada mata pelajaran sejarah kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Dua, dan (2) menganalisis motivasi belajar sejarah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Dua setelah menggunakan media Seesaw. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian pre-experimental design dan desain one shot case study. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI yang terdiri dari 2 kelas dengan jumlah 49 siswa, sedangkan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI-1 yang berjumlah 18 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan perhitungan persentase, uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, dan uji non-parametrik Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media Seesaw telah terlaksana dengan baik sesuai tahapan model pembelajaran Portofolio, dengan hasil observasi aktivitas pembelajaran memperoleh persentase sebesar 92,5% pada kategori sangat baik. Hasil angket motivasi belajar siswa menunjukkan skor rata-rata 65,3 dengan persentase tingkat keberhasilan sebesar 88,88% yang berada pada kategori sangat baik. Hasil uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk menunjukkan data tidak berdistribusi normal, sehingga dilanjutkan dengan uji Wilcoxon yang menghasilkan nilai Zhitung sebesar -3,520 dengan Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001 (< 0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Dengan demikian, penerapan media pembelajaran Seesaw berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar sejarah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Dua, sehingga terbukti efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran sejarah.

The low engagement of some students in learning activities has driven the need for a more varied and interactive learning media, one of which is Seesaw. This study aims to (1) find out the implementation of the Seesaw learning media in the history subject for grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Dua, and (2) analyze students' learning motivation in history after using the Seesaw media. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design and a one shot case study design. The population of this study consisted of 2 classes with a total of 49 students, while the sample was the students of class XI-1, totaling 18 students. Data collection techniques included observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used percentage calculations, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and the Wilcoxon non-parametric test. The results showed that the implementation of Seesaw had been carried out well in accordance with the stages of the Portfolio learning model, with the observation of learning activities obtaining a percentage of 92.5% in the very good category. The results of the student learning motivation questionnaire showed an average score of 65.3 with a success rate percentage of 88.88%, which is in the very good category. The results of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test showed that the data were not normally distributed, so it was followed by the Wilcoxon test, which resulted in a Z value of -3.520 with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.001 (< 0.05), meaning there was a significant difference. Thus, the implementation of the Seesaw learning media affects the history learning motivation of grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Dua, so it is proven effective to be applied in history learning.
