Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan motorik halus anak
kelas B3 di TK Poteumeureuhom Banda Aceh, ditandai kondisi gerakan tangan
anak masih kurang terkontrol. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk
mengembangkan kemampuan motorik halus anak usia 5–6 tahun melalui media
loose part di TK Poteumeureuhom. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah
Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada anak
kelompok B3 yang berjumlah 9 anak, terdiri atas 6 anak perempuan dan 3 anak
laki-laki. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan unjuk kerja.
Langkah-langkah pembelajaran yang dilakukan meliputi: 1) guru menjelaskan
kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan kepada anak, 2) guru memperkenalkan alat dan
bahan yang digunakan seperti gunting, lem, dan bahan loose part, 3) guru
memberikan contoh cara menggunting sesuai pola dan menempel gambar dengan
tepat, 4) guru memberikan kesempatan kepada anak untuk melakukan kegiatan
menggunting dan menempel dengan bimbingan guru, 5) guru memberikan pujian
dan motivasi kepada anak selama kegiatan berlangsung, dan 6) guru meminta anak
menunjukkan hasil karya yang telah dibuat. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan selama
dua siklus, kemampuan motorik halus anak mengalami peningkatan pada setiap
tindakan. Setelah pelaksanaan tindakan selama dua siklus, pada indikator
menggunting sesuai pola terdapat 1 anak berada pada kategori Mulai Berkembang
(MB), 4 anak mencapai kategori Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH), dan 4 anak
mencapai kategori Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB), sedangkan pada indikator
menempel gambar dengan tepat terdapat 5 anak berada pada kategori Berkembang
Sesuai Harapan (BSH) dan 4 anak telah mencapai kategori Berkembang Sangat
Baik (BSB). Dengan demikian, penggunaan media loose part terbukti mampu
mengembangkan kemampuan motorik halus anak usia 5–6 tahun di TK
Poteumeureuhom Banda Aceh.

This research was motivated by the low level of fine motor skills among children in Group B3 at TK Poteumeureuhom Banda Aceh, as indicated by their limited hand movement control. The purpose of this study was to develop the fine motor skills of children aged 5–6 years through the use of loose parts media at TK Poteumeureuhom Banda Aceh. This study employed Classroom Action Research . The participants consisted of 9 children in Group B3, including 6 girls and 3 boys. Data were collected through observation and performance assessment. The learning procedures included: 1) the teacher explained the activities to the children; 2) the teacher introduced the tools and materials, such as scissors, glue, and loose parts materials; 3) the teacher demonstrated how to cut according to a pattern and paste pictures correctly; 4) the teacher provided opportunities for the children to carry out the cutting and pasting activities under guidance; 5) the teacher gave praise and motivation throughout the activities; and 6) the teacher asked the children to present their completed work. Based on the observations conducted over two cycles, the children's fine motor skills showed continuous improvement in each action. At the end of the second cycle, for the indicator of cutting according to a pattern, 1 child was categorized as Beginning to Develop , 4 children achieved the Developing as Expected category, and 4 children reached the Very Well Developed category. For the indicator of pasting pictures correctly, 5 children achieved the Developing as Expected category, while 4 children reached the Very Well Developed category. Therefore, the use of loose parts media was proven to effectively develop the fine motor skills of children aged 5–6 years at TK Poteumeureuhom Banda Aceh.
