Penelitian yang berjudul Kecemasan Mahasiswa dalam Presentasi Proposal Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kecemasan yang dialami mahasiswa saat mempresentasikan proposal skripsi serta bagaimana mahasiswa sarjana mengalami kecemasan selama presentasi proposal skripsi mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 12 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris yang telah mengikuti seminar proposal skripsi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecemasan yang dialami mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Syiah Kuala, selama presentasi proposal skripsi ditandai dengan rasa takut sebelum berbicara, lupa terhadap kata-kata yang ingin disampaikan, serta keraguan saat berbicara. Mahasiswa juga merasa cemas terhadap penilaian audiens, kehilangan fokus setelah melakukan kesalahan, tangan gemetar selama presentasi, tampak tegang sebelum memulai presentasi, serta mengalami jantung berdebar yang menyebabkan napas menjadi lebih berat dan berkeringat selama mempresentasikan proposal skripsi di ruang seminar. Kecemasan yang dialami mahasiswa selama presentasi proposal skripsi dipengaruhi oleh banyaknya revisi yang diberikan oleh dosen penguji, kecemasan dalam menjawab pertanyaan dari dosen penguji, kurangnya pengalaman berbicara di depan umum, serta kurangnya dukungan dari dosen penguji, keluarga, dan teman sekelas.

Maya Silvianti, S.Pd., M.A. Research with title Students‟ Anxiety In Undergraduate Thesis Proposal Presentation This study aims to explore students' anxiety in presenting and how undergraduate students experience anxiety during their thesis proposal presentations. The research method used was qualitative, with a descriptive approach. The sample in this study was 12 English education students who had attended the thesis proposal seminar. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation and interviews. The results of the study indicate that anxiety experienced by students in the English Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Syiah University, during the presentation of their thesis proposals was characterized by a feeling of fear before speaking, forgetting words, or hesitation. Anxiety about being judged by the audience, loss of focus after making mistakes, trembling hands during the presentation, visible tension before starting the presentation, and a racing heart, resulting in heavy breathing and sweating during the presentation of their thesis proposals in the seminar room. Anxiety experienced by students in the English Language Education Study Program during the presentation of their thesis proposals was due to the numerous revisions from the examiners, anxiety in answering the examiners' questions, anxiety due to a lack of public speaking experience, and anxiety due to a lack of support from the examiners, family, and classmates.
