Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan ditemukan permasalahan dalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak usia dini melalui metode show and tell di RA Darul Hikmah Kabupaten Aceh Besar, menurut Standar Tingkat Pencapaian Perkembangan Anak (STPPA) dalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri dengan sub indikator anak sudah berani tampil di depan kelas dan mengutarakan pendapatnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak usia dini melalui metode show and tell pada usia 4-5 tahun di RA Darul Hikmah Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana penerapan metode show and tell dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus dengan jumlah subjek 8 orang anak. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui observasi terhadap aktivitas guru dan peningkatan rasa percaya diri anak. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yang telah dilakukan dari siklus I dan siklus II dalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak usia dini melalui metode show and tell pada usia 4-5 tahun di RA Darul Hikmah Kabupaten Aceh Besar dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu: 1) Guru menyiapkan media berupa poster gambar sayuran saat kegiatan show and tell, 2) Guru menjelaskan tujuan kegiatan show and tell kepada anak, 3) Guru menunjukkan poster gambar sayuran sebagai objek show and tell, 4) Guru memberi contoh berbicara saat show and tell, 5) Guru memanggil anak satu per satu untuk maju ke depan kelas, 6) Guru membimbing anak yang masih malu atau ragu, 7) Guru memberikan pujian atas percaya diri anak saat show and tell. Setelah dilakukan tindakan sebanyak II siklus dapat memperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat 5 orang anak yang mencapai kategori Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH), dan 3 orang anak yang mencapai kategori Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB).

This research is motivated by the discovery of problems in increasing self-confidence of early childhood through the show and tell method at RA Darul Hikmah, Aceh Besar Regency, according to the Child Development Achievement Level Standards (STPPA) in increasing self-confidence with sub-indicators that children are brave enough to appear in front of the class and express their opinions. This study aims to determine how to increase self-confidence of early childhood through the show and tell method at the age of 4-5 years in RA Darul Hikmah, Aceh Besar Regency. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the application of the show and tell method can increase self-confidence of early childhood. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which is carried out in 2 cycles with a total of 8 children as subjects. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation of teacher activities and increasing children's self-confidence. The conclusion of this research that has been done from cycle I and cycle II in increasing the self-confidence of early childhood through the show and tell method at the age of 4-5 years at RA Darul Hikmah, Aceh Besar Regency is done through several stages, namely: 1) The teacher prepares media in the form of vegetable picture posters during show and tell activities, 2) The teacher explains the purpose of show and tell activities to children, 3) The teacher shows a vegetable picture poster as a show and tell object, 4) The teacher gives an example of speaking during show and tell, 5) The teacher calls the children one by one to come to the front of the class, 6) The teacher guides children who are still shy or hesitant, 7) The teacher gives praise for the children's confidence during show and tell. After carrying out the action as many as II cycles, it can be obtained that there are 5 children who reach the category of Developing According to Expectations (BSH), and 3 children who reach the category of Developing Very Well (BSB).
