The jejunum is a segment of the digestive tract that serves as the primary site of nutrient absorption in the small intestine, a function mediated by the intestinal villi and crypts. This study aimed to evaluate the histomorphometric development of the jejunum in broiler chickens (Gallus gallus domesticus) at different ages. A total of 25 male MB90 broiler chickens were reared for 35 days. Jejunal samples were collected at 7, 14, 21, 28, and 35 days of age, with three birds sampled at each observation time. The samples were processed into histological sections and stained using hematoxylin-eosin (HE) and Alcian blue (AB). The observed parameters included villus surface area, crypt depth, and goblet cell number. The data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by Duncan's multiple range test. The results showed that villus surface area and crypt depth increased significantly (p < 0.05) with advancing age, particularly during the grower and finisher phases. The villus height to crypt depth ratio did not differ significantly (p > 0.05) among age groups, although it showed a numerical increase. The number of goblet cells also increased significantly (p < 0.05) with age, reaching the highest value at 35 days of age. In conclusion, the jejunal structure of broiler chickens undergoes histomorphometric development with increasing age, as indicated by increases in villus surface area, crypt depth, and goblet cell number. Keywords: Jejunum, histomorphometric development, villus surface area, crypt depth, goblet cells
