Sarana dan prasarana pendidikan menjadi sumber daya penting dalam menunjang
proses pembelajaran di sekolah untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan.
Keberhasilan program pendidikan di sekolah sangat dipengaruhi oleh kondisi
sarana dan prasarana pendidikan yang dimiliki sekolah penelitian ini bertujuan
mengkaji manajemen sarana dan prasarana pendidikan dalam meningkatkan mutu
pendidikan di SMP Negeri Kecamatan Jaya Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Penelitian ini
menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif, dan
pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik
analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Subjek utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu kepala sekolah, wakil bidang sarana dan
prasarana, serta guru di SMP Negeri Kecamatan Jaya. Kesimpulan dari hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses perencanaan sarana prasarana dilakukan
melalui analisis kebutuhan yang dibahas dalam musyawarah sekolah, penyusunan
RKBMD dengan skala prioritas, serta pengelompokan program berdasarkan
jangka waktu dan penggunaan. Proses pengadaan dilaksanakan melalui koordinasi
antara kepala sekolah, dewan guru, dan bendahara dengan sumber pendanaan
berasal dari BOS dan donatur. Pengadaan dilakukan dengan mekanisme
pembelian, pemesanan, atau penyewaan sesuai ketentuan Dinas Pendidikan.
Selanjutnya, manajemen sarana dan prasarana terbukti memberikan dampak
positif terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan, baik dari aspek prestasi belajar
siswa, profesionalisme guru, maupun kenyamanan lingkungan sekolah. Meskipun
masih terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan dana dan lambatnya proses
administratif, namun kolaborasi antara kepala sekolah, guru, dan masyarakat
menjadi kekuatan utama dalam menjaga keberlanjutan mutu pendidikan. Dengan
demikian, penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan manajemen sarana dan
prasarana yang terencana, terkoordinasi, dan partisipatif di setiap satuan Pendidikan

Educational facilities and infrastructure are essential resources that support teaching and learning and play a crucial role in improving educational quality. The condition and adequacy of the facilities and infrastructure available strongly influence the success of educational programs at the school level. This study aims to examine the management of educational facilities and infrastructure in improving educational quality in state junior high schools in Jaya Subdistrict, Aceh Jaya Regency. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The main research subjects included school principals, vice principals in charge of facilities and infrastructure, and teachers at state junior high schools in Jaya Subdistrict. The findings indicate that facilities and infrastructure planning was carried out through needs analysis conducted during school deliberation meetings, the preparation of the Regional Government Asset Requirements Plan (Rencana Kebutuhan Barang Milik Daerah, RKBMD) based on priority scales, and the classification of programs according to time frames and patterns of use. The procurement process was implemented through coordination among school principals, teaching staff, and school treasurers, with funding from School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds and donors. Procurement was conducted through purchasing, ordering, or leasing mechanisms in accordance with regulations issued by the Education Office. Furthermore, the management of facilities and infrastructure was found to have a positive impact on improving educational quality, as reflected in students‟ academic achievement, enhanced teacher professionalism, and a more comfortable school environment. Although challenges remain, such as limited funding and slow administrative processes, collaboration among school principals, teachers, and the community emerged as a key strength in sustaining educational quality. Therefore, this study underscores the importance of implementing well-planned, coordinated, and participatory facilities and infrastructure management in every educational institution.
