ABSTRAK

Pemilu legislatif di daerah tidak hanya menjadi arena perebutan kekuasaan, tetapi
juga ruang kompetisi berbagai bentuk modalitas yang dimiliki kandidat. Dalam
konteks Aceh Barat, kemenangan M. Priya Nyona Feby pada Pemilu Legislatif
2024 menjadi fenomena menarik karena sebagai politisi muda mampu
mengalahkan banyak pesaing berpengalaman. Fenomena ini menunjukkan
pentingnya menelaah peran modalitas sosial, budaya, simbolik, dan finansial
dalam membentuk strategi politik dan legitimasi elektoral kandidat. Tujuan
penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aspek modalitas Feby sebagai calon
anggota legislatif dalam kemenangannya pada Pemilu Legislatif Aceh Barat
Tahun 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori modalitas didukung konsep Pemilu
Legislatif. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualititatif. Hasil Penelitian ini
menemukan bahwa jaringan sosial berupa keluarga dan kekerabatan sosial
berperan memperkuat posisi politiknya. Modal budaya juga memberi efek
keterpilihan bagi Feby, karena memang dia memiliki kedekatan langsung dengan
kebudayaan tersebut. Selain itu, aspek modal simbolik dalam hal ini identitasnya
sebagai simbol regenerasi dan pembaruan, didorong sebagai pembeda dengan
kandidat lain yang masih bertahan pada cara dan strategi lama. Modal ekonomi
juga menjadi stimulan dan berperan penting untuk memaksimalkan proses kinerja
pemenangan Feby bersama dengan tim, namun dijalankan bersamaan dengan
jaringan sosial, budaya dan simbolik yang telah dimilikinya. Kesimpulan
penelitian ini bahwa kemenangan Feby sangat erat kaitannya dengan pemanfaatan
aspek-aspek modalitas dari dirinya yang meliputi ekonomi, sosial, budaya dan
simbolik. Keempat aspek tersebut membantunya untuk mendapatkan dukungan
pemilih dalam kontestasi Pemilu Legislatif.

ABSTRACT Legislative elections at the regional level are not only an arena for the struggle for power but also a space of competition for various forms of capital possessed by candidates. In the context of Aceh Barat, the victory of M. Priya Nyona Feby in the 2024 Legislative Election is a noteworthy phenomenon, as a young politician she was able to defeat many experienced rivals. This phenomenon highlights the importance of examining the role of social, cultural, symbolic, and economic capital in shaping political strategies and the electoral legitimacy of candidates. The purpose of this research is to identify the aspects of Feby’s capital as a legislative candidate that contributed to her victory in the 2024 Aceh Barat Legislative Election. This study applies the theory of capital supported by the concept of legislative elections. The research method employed is qualitative. The findings reveal that social capital in the form of family and kinship networks strengthened her political position. Cultural capital also contributed to Feby’s electability, as she was closely connected with local cultural values. Furthermore, symbolic capital, particularly her identity as a symbol of regeneration and renewal, served as a distinguishing factor compared to other candidates who relied on traditional strategies. Economic capital functioned as a stimulant and played an important role in maximizing her campaign performance together with her team, though it was utilized in conjunction with the social, cultural, and symbolic capital she already possessed. The conclusion of this research is that Feby’s victory is closely related to the utilization of her modalities, which include economic, social, cultural, and symbolic capital. These four aspects helped her gain voter support in the Legislative Election contest. Keywords: Capital, Regional Legislative Elections, Aceh Barat.
