PROFIL LEUKOSIT KUCING (Felis catus) SELAMA PROSES
KESEMBUHAN LUKA SAYAT YANG DIBERI PLASMA
KAYA TROMBOSIT (PKT) HETEROLOG SAPI ACEH

LEUKOCYTE PROFILE OF CATS (Felis catus) DURING INCISIONAL WOUND HEALING TREATED WITH HETEROLOGOUS PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP) FROM ACEH BOVINE ABSTRACT Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a biological product with a high concentration of growth factors and functions to promote the healing of damaged tissues. Leukocytes play an important role in the body’s defense system and regulate inflammatory responses during the wound-healing process. This study aimed to determine differences in the leukocyte profile of cats (Felis catus) during the healing process of incisional wounds treated with heterologous Aceh cattle PRP compared to wounds without PRP treatment at each observation time. This study used six male cats (Felis catus) aged 1-2 years with body weights ranging from 2.5-3.5 kg, which were divided into two groups. All treatment groups were given a stage 3 incisional wound measuring 4 cm in length on the flank area and sutured using 3.0 USP silk thread with a simple interrupted suture pattern. Treatment group I (G-I) received infiltration of heterologous Aceh cattle PRP and was treated with moist dressing, while treatment group II (G-II) did not receive PRP and was treated with moist dressing only. Observations of leukocyte profiles, including total leukocyte count and differential leukocyte count, were performed on days 0, 3, 6, 9, and 12. The research data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) followed by Duncan’s multiple range test as a post hoc analysis. The mean total leukocyte and neutrophil counts in G-I were lower than those in G-II, with significant differences (P < 0.05). Conversely, the mean lymphocyte and monocyte counts in G-I were higher than those in G-II, also showing significant differences (P < 0.05). The mean leukocyte profiles of cats during the observation period in each treatment group fluctuated significantly. The high concentration of growth factors in heterologous Aceh cattle PRP accelerated the modulation of the inflammatory phase on day 3 during the wound-healing process, indicating that heterologous Aceh cattle PRP is effective and suitable for use in the healing of incisional wounds. Keywords: Cat, incisional wound, heterologous platelet-rich plasma, aceh cattle, leukocyte profile
