Program Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan berperan penting dalam membentuk
kesiapan mahasiswa menjadi guru profesional melalui pengalaman praktik,
peningkatan self efficacy, dan persepsi positif terhadap profesi guru. Namun,
masih sedikit penelitian yang mengkaji tingkat self efficacy dan persepsi
mahasiswa terhadap pelaksanaan PLP sebagai bahan evaluasi pengembangan
program. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat self efficacy serta
persepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi FKIP USK terhadap pelaksanaan program
PLP. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP USK
dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dan metode survei. Populasi penelitian
berjumlah 141 mahasiswa angkatan 2021 dan 2022 yang telah mengikuti PLP.
Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Data dikumpulkan
melalui angket skala likert yang telah divalidasi dan diuji keterbacaannya,
kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan kategori skor rata-rata dan
standar deviasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat self efficacy mahasiswa
berada pada kategori cukup dan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap program PLP
tergolong baik. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat self efficacy
mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi FKIP USK mencerminkan keyakinan diri yang
yang memadai sebagai calon guru meskipun masih perlu ditingkatkan. Persepsi
mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi FKIP USK terhadap program PLP menunjukkan
program ini membantu persiapan menjadi guru, meski pelaksanaannya masih
perlu diperbaiki. Implikasi dari hasil ini dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi dan
perbaikan program PLP ke depan agar lebih efektif dalam mendukung kesiapan
mahasiswa sebagai calon guru.

The School Field Introduction Program plays a crucial role in shaping students' readiness to become professional teachers through practical experience, increased self-efficacy, and positive perceptions of the teaching profession. However, there is limited research examining students' self-efficacy and perceptions of the implementation of the PLP program as a basis for evaluating program development. This study aims to determine the self-efficacy and perceptions of Biology Education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, USK, regarding the implementation of the PLP program. This research was conducted in the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP USK, using a descriptive quantitative approach and survey method. The study population consisted of 141 students from the 2021 and 2022 intakes who had participated in the PLP. The sampling technique used total sampling. Data were collected through a validated and readable Likert-scale questionnaire, then analyzed descriptively using the average score and standard deviation categories. The results showed that students' self-efficacy was in the sufficient category, and their perceptions of the PLP program were considered good. Therefore, it can be concluded that the self-efficacy of Biology Education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, USK, reflects adequate self-confidence as prospective teachers, although it still needs to be improved. USK Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Biology Education students' perceptions of the PLP program indicate that it aids teacher preparation, although its implementation still needs improvement. These findings can inform future evaluations and improvements to the PLP program to make it more effective in supporting students' readiness as future teachers.
