Xerosis cutis merupakan istilah medis untuk kondisi kulit kering yang secara klinis ditandai dengan kulit yang bersisik, kasar, dan terasa gatal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran derajat keparahan penyakit xerosis cutis diukur dengan Overall Dry Skin Score pada pasien di RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Overall Dry Skin Score adalah alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat keparahan kekeringan kulit dengan menilai tanda mayor dan minor kulit kering secara subjektif oleh dokter ahli kulit. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif observasional dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah pasien xerosis cutis yang datang berobat ke Poliklinik Kulit dan Kelamin RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh pada bulan September-November 2024. Terdapat 30 pasien yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini yang telah memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Analisa data yang dilakukan meliputi analisa univariat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan rekam medis pasien sesuai data karakteristik demografis, karakteristik klinis dan derajat keparahan penyakit xerosis cutis berdasarkan ODSS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat 30 pasien xerosis cutis dengan mayoritas berusia lebih dari 65 tahun (50,00%), berjenis kelamin laki-laki (56,67%), bertempat tinggal di dataran rendah (66,67%), pola penyebaran kulit kering localized dan multifokal jumlahnya sama (43,33%), lokasi kulit kering di kaki (86,67%), memiliki riwayat penyakit kulit dermatitis seboroik (40,00%), riwayat alergi kulit dermatitis atopik (30,00%), riwayat penyakit sistemik hipertensi (56,67%), dan derajat keparahannya adalah berat (50,00%).

Xerosis cutis is a medical term for dry skin, clinically characterized by scaly, rough, and itchy skin. The aim of this study is to describe the severity of xerosis cutis measured using the Overall Dry Skin Score in patients at dr. Zainoel Abidin General Hospital, Banda Aceh. The Overall Dry Skin Score is an assessment tool used to evaluate the severity of skin dryness by subjectively assessing major and minor signs of dry skin by dermatologists. The type of study conducted is observational descriptive with a cross-sectional design. The subjects were xerosis cutis patients who sought treatment at the Dermatology and Venereology Clinic of RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh during September-November 2024. A total of 30 patients were included in the study, having met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data analysis involved univariate analysis, and data collection was performed by gathering patient medical records according to demographic characteristics, clinical characteristics, and the severity of xerosis cutis based on the ODSS. The results of this study showed that there were 30 patients with xerosis cutis, the majority of whom were over 65 years old (50,00%), male (56,67%), living in lowland areas (66,67%), with the distribution pattern of dry skin being localized and multifocal in equal proportions (43,33%). The dry skin was located on the legs (86,67%), with a history of seborrheic dermatitis (40,00%), a history of atopic dermatitis (30,00%), a history of systemic diseases such as hypertension (56,67%), and the severity level was severe (50,00%).
