Aspirasi karir sangat penting di tengah meningkatnya persaingan memasuki dunia kerja, terutama bagi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat aspirasi karir atlet Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) Universitas Syiah Kuala. Aspirasi karir penting bagi mahasiswa karena membantu mereka merencanakan dan mempersiapkan diri menghadapi persaingan dunia kerja, sejak di bangku kuliah hingga lulus. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa atlet Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) Universitas Syiah Kuala dan terutama UKM bidang olahraga yang anggotanya mayoritas bukan Jurusan Pendidikan Olahraga. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 140 mahasiswa dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala aspirasi karir yang terdiri dari 40 item pernyataan. Hasil penelitian dengan teknik analisis data deskriptif didapatkan, sebagian besar atlet Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) Universitas Syiah Kuala yaitu 83 mahasiswa dengan persentase 59% berada pada kategori aspirasi karir sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan penelitian jika dilihat dari per aspek aspirasi karir yaitu niat, tingkah laku (sikap) dan perbuatan (perilaku). Pada aspek niat tertinggi dengan sebanyak 95 mahasiswa (68%) berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, lalu aspek perbuatan (perilaku) terendah dengan sebanyak 73 mahasiswa (52%) berada pada kategori sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan penelitian jika dilihat dari per Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) Universitas Syiah Kuala, pada UKM Bola Basket USK tertinggi dengan sebanyak 12 mahasiswa (100%) berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, lalu UKM Bulutangkis USK terendah dengan sebanyak 12 mahasiswa (46%) berada pada kategori tinggi. Maka disimpulkan hasil dari data keseluruhan menunjukkan, bahwa aspirasi karir pada atlet Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) Universitas Syiah Kuala memperlihatkan bahwa mahasiswa tersebut memiliki tujuan karir yang jelas, ambisi besar untuk mencapai puncak karir mereka, serta motivasi yang kuat untuk mengejar pencapaian profesional yang signifikan.

Career aspirations are very important in the midst of increasing competition to enter the world of work, especially for students. This study aims to describe the level of career aspirations of Student Activity Unit (UKM) athletes at Syiah Kuala University. Career aspirations are important for students because it helps them plan and prepare themselves to face competition in the world of work, from college to graduation. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive research type. The population of this study were all student athletes of the Syiah Kuala University Student Activity Unit (UKM) and especially sports UKM whose members were mostly not majoring in Sports Education. The sample of this study consisted of 140 students using a sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. The data collection technique uses a career aspirations scale consisting of 40 statement items. The results of the study with descriptive data analysis techniques obtained, most of the athletes of the Syiah Kuala University Student Activity Unit (UKM), namely 83 students with a percentage of 59% were in the category of very high career aspirations. Based on research when viewed from per aspect of career aspirations, namely intention, behavior (attitude) and action (behavior). In the highest aspect of intention with 95 students (68%) in the very high category, then the lowest aspect of action (behavior) with 73 students (52%) in the very high category. Based on research when viewed from each Student Activity Unit (UKM) of Syiah Kuala University, the highest UKM Basketball USK with 12 students (100%) was in the very high category, then the lowest UKM Badminton USK with 12 students (46%) was in the high category. So it is concluded that the results of the overall data show that career aspirations in athletes of the Syiah Kuala University Student Activity Unit (UKM) show that these students have clear career goals, great ambition to reach the peak of their careers, and strong motivation to pursue significant professional achievements.
