Penerapan metode read aloud dalam meningkatkan minat baca anak di TK-IT Permata Sunnah Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan metode read aloud guna meningkatkan minat baca anak di TK-IT Permata Sunnah Kota Banda Aceh. Fokus penelitian ini adalah pada minat baca anak, yang mencakup rasa senang, ketertarikan, inisiatif, dan perhatian terhadap buku cerita. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 13 anak, termasuk 6 anak perempuan dan 7 anak laki-laki, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan minat baca anak, yang terlihat pada siklus II, pertemuan kedua. Pada indikator rasa senang, 4 anak memenuhi kriteria Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH) dengan tiga bintang (***) dan 9 anak mencapai kriteria Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB) dengan empat bintang (****). Pada indikator ketertarikan, 2 anak berada pada kriteria BSH dengan tiga bintang (***) dan 11 anak berada pada kriteria BSB dengan empat bintang (****). Untuk indikator inisiatif, 6 anak termasuk dalam kriteria BSH dengan tiga bintang (***) dan 7 anak dalam kriteria BSB dengan empat bintang (****). Terakhir, pada indikator perhatian, 3 anak memenuhi kriteria BSH dengan tiga bintang (***) dan 10 anak memenuhi kriteria BSB dengan empat bintang (****).

ABSTRACT Niswatun Hasanah (2024). The Implementation of Read Aloud Method in Increasing Children's Reading Interest at TK-IT Permata Sunnah Banda Aceh. [Skripsi. Universitas Syiah Kuala]. Under direction of Dina Amalia, S.Psi., M.Sc. and Gracia Mandira, S.Pd., M.Ed. The implementation of the read aloud method in increasing children's reading interest at TK-IT Permata Sunnah of Banda Aceh city, is the purpose of this study. The object of this study is children's interest in reading including pleasure, interest, initiative and attention to story books. The method used in this study is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which is carried out in 2 cycles, where each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection with research subjects of 13 children consisting of 6 girls and 7 boys. The techniques of data collection were taken through observation sheets. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in children's interest in reading, namely in cycle II, the second meeting, there were 4 children with the criteria of Developing According to Expectations with three stars (***) and there were 9 children with the criteria of Developing Very Well with four stars (****) on the indicator of pleasure. As for the interest indicator, there were 2 children with the criteria of Developing According to Expectations with three stars (***) and there were 11 children with the criteria of Developing Very Well with four stars (****). Furthermore, in the initiative indicator, there are 6 children with the criteria of Developing According to Expectations with three stars (***), and there are 7 children with the criteria of Developing Very Well with four stars (****). Then, in the attention indicator, there are 3 children with the criteria of Developing According to Expectations with three stars (***), and there are 10 children with the criteria of Developing Very Well with four stars (****).
