Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran Example Non-Example berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis siswa di SMPS Islam Al-Falah. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas II SMP tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain One-Group pretest-posttest. Terdapat 22 siswa berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Dilakukannya pretest untuk menilai keterampilan menulis siswa sebelum dilakukan perlakuan. Setelah itu, model pembelajaran Example Non-Example diterapkan sebagai intervensi, dan posttest dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi peningkatan keterampilan menulis siswa. Hasil analisis uji t-berpasangan menunjukkan skor signifikansi (2-tailed) kurang dari 0.001, yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan menulis siswa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model Example Non-Example secara efektif meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa, terbukti dengan peningkatan skor rata-rata pada posttest (M = 77.27) dibandingkan dengan skor pretest (M = 45.50). Ini berarti hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Example Non-Example dapat secara efektif meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan agar dapat mengeksplorasi model ini lebih lanjut dengan menggunakan metodologi yang berbeda dan ukuran sampel yang lebih besar untuk memvalidasi temuan ini.

The Effect of The Example Non-Example Learning Model on Students’ Learning Outcomes in Writing Skills (An Experimental Study of Second-Grade Junior High School Students at SMPS Islam Al Falah). [Undergraduate Thesis. Universitas Syiah Kuala]. Under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Aulia, S.Pd., MTESOL, M.A. and Nira Erdiana, S.Pd., M.Pd. This study aims to determine whether the Example Non-Example learning model affects students' writing skills at SMPS Islam Al-Falah. The research was conducted on Second-Grade junior high school students during the 2023/2024 academic year. The study utilized a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. A total of 22 students participated in the study. Initially, a pretest was conducted to assess their baseline writing skills. Following this, the Example Non-Example learning model was implemented as an intervention, and a posttest was administered to evaluate any subsequent improvements. The results of the paired t-test analysis show a significance (2-tailed) score of less than 0.001, indicating a significant improvement in students' writing skills. This suggests that the Example Non-example model effectively enhanced students’ writing skills, as evidenced by the increase in the average posttest score (M = 77.27) compared to the pretest score (M = 45.50). This means the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The findings suggest that the Example Non-Example learning model can effectively enhance students' writing skills. It is recommended that future research explore this model further using different methodologies and larger sample sizes to validate these findings.
