ABSTRAK

Manajemen boarding school merupakan suatu proses merencanakan, mengorganisasikan, menggerakkan, mengawasi, mengevaluasi dan mendayagunakan seluruh sumber daya sekolah dalam rangka untuk mencapai tujuan program sekolah boarding secara efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Perencanaan program bording school; (2) Implementasi program boarding school; (3) Mengevaluasi implementasi program boarding school. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari; pimpinan sekolah boarding, komite sekolah, guru, bagian kesiswaan, bagian pengajaran, bendahara dan siswa Sekolah boarding kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya (Ibnu Sina dan sekolah boarding Jabal Nur Jadid) Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi data, display data dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Perencanaan program boarding school di Sekolah Boarding di kabupaten Aceh Barat sudah merumuskan tahapan pembiasaan, pengembangan dan pembelajaran berdasarkan rencana strategis sekolah dan rujukan dari Kemendikbud Tahun 2015 untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran; (2) Implementasi program boarding di kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran masih memiliki kendala pada kurangnya persediaan fasilitas-fasilitas di sekolah boarding; (3) Hasil evaluasi kegiatan program boarding school sebahagian besar sudah terlihat dari lulusan-lulusan yang dihasilkan dan juga dan juga respon masyarakat terhadap keberadaan sekolah boarding tersebut.

MANAGEMENT OF BOARDING SCHOOL PROGRAM TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LEARNING AT JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS IN ACEH BARAT DAYA REGENCY ABSTRACT (Nyak Geh) Boarding school management involves planning, organizing, mobilizing, supervising, evaluating, and utilizing all school resources to achieve the goals of the boarding school program effectively and efficiently. This study aimed to investigate: (1) the planning of the boarding school program; (2) the implementation of the boarding school program; and (3) the evaluation of the boarding school program implementation. The study employed a qualitative approach and a descriptive method. The subjects included the principals, committee members, teachers, student affairs division, teaching division, treasurers, and students from Ibnu Sina and Jabal Nur Jadid Boarding Schools in Aceh Barat Daya Regency. The data collection techniques encompassed observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data were analyzed using the techniques of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicated: (1) that the planning of the boarding school program of both schools had outlined stages of habituation, development, and learning based on the schools’ strategic plans and references from the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2015 to enhance learning quality. Moreover, it was also found (2) that the implementation of the boarding school program included several components: the Ubudiyah program, mastery of the Yellow Book or other classic texts, the Quran memorization (Tahfeez) program, and language skills (English and Arabic). Lastly, the evaluation showed (3) that the results of the boarding school program activities were evident in the quality of graduates produced by both schools and the community's positive response to the presence of the boarding schools.
