Abstrak
Pembelajaran membaca lanjutan di Kelas IV SD Negeri 35 Banda Aceh belum mengoptimalkan media pembelajaran yang ada di sekolah. Hal ini menyebabkan masih banyak siswa kelas IV yang masih rendah dalam keterampilan membaca lanjutan, seringkali siswa merasa jenuh dan bahkan ada yang masih tidak mampu atau kesulitan dalam membaca lanjutan. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Apakah terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media big book terhadap keterampilan membaca lanjutan siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 35 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media big book terhadap keterampilan membaca lanjutan siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 35 Banda Aceh. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif jenis penelitiannya yaitu Pre Exprimental Design dengan desain One Grup Pretest Posttest. Dsign. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri 35 Banda Aceh. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik Sampling Purposive dengan sampel seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 35 Banda Aceh yang berjumlah 25 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dalam bentuk pretest dan posttest, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan IBM SPSS STATISTIC Version 26 for windows dan pengujian hipotesis dengan uji t Paired Samples Test. Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan statistik uji t Paired Samples Test diperoleh nilai signifikansi 2 tailed sebesar 0,000 0,05. Maka kriteria pengambilan keputusan yaitu Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa Terdapat Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Big Book Untuk Meningkatkatkan Keterampilan Membaca Lanjutan Pada Siswa Kelas IV di SD Negeri 35 Banda Aceh.

Abstract Advanced reading learning in Class IV of SD Negeri 35 Banda Aceh has not yet optimized the learning media available at school. This causes there to be many class IV students who are still low in advanced reading skills, students often feel bored and some are even still unable or have difficulty in advanced reading. The formulation of the problem in this research is: Is there an influence of the use of big book media on the advanced reading skills of class IV students at SD Negeri 35 Banda Aceh. This research aims to determine the effect of using big book media on the advanced reading skills of class IV students at SD Negeri 35 Banda Aceh. The approach in this research is a quantitative approach to the type of research, namely Pre Experimental Design with a One Group Pretest Posttest Design. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 35 Banda Aceh. Sampling was taken using a Purposive Sampling technique with a sample of all class IV students at SD Negeri 35 Banda Aceh, totaling 25 people. The data collection technique uses tests in the form of pretest and posttest, while the data analysis technique uses IBM SPSS STATISTIC Version 26 for Windows and hypothesis testing uses the Paired Samples Test t test. The results of hypothesis testing with the Paired Samples Test t test statistic obtained a significance value 2 tailed of 0.000 0.05. So the decision making criteria, namely Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus, it is concluded that there is an influence of using Big Book media to improve advanced reading skills in grade IV students at SD Negeri 35 Banda Aceh.
