Kasus polio di Kabupaten Bireuen merupakan salah satu dari tiga kasus polio yang kembali ditemukan di Indonesia pada tahun 2023, cakupan imunisasi polio di Puskesmas Mon Keulayu pada tahun 2022 hanya sebesar 35% dimana angka tersebut belum mampu memberikan kekebalan komunitas yang membutuhkan cakupan imunisasi ≥ 95%. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan ibu dan peran kader Posyandu dengan pemberian imunisasi polio di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Mon Keulayu Kabupaten Bireuen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan rancangan cross sectional. Teknik sampling menggunakan quota sampling. Sampel penelitian adalah 64 orang ibu yang memiliki baduta berusia 4 – 18 bulan. Berdasarkan jumlah tersebut, didapatkan sebanyak 26 baduta (40,6%) tidak mendapatkan imunisasi polio dan sebanyak 22 baduta (34,4%) tidak lengkap mendapatkan imunisasi polio. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman’s Rank adalah hubungan pengetahuan ibu dengan pemberian imunisasi polio P value 0,000 dan koefisien korelasi 0,536; hubungan peran kader Posyandu dengan pemberian imunisasi polio P value 0,014 dan koefisien korelasi 0,307. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara pengetahuan ibu dengan pemberian imunisasi polio di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Mon Keulayu Kabupaten Bireuen dan terdapat hubungan yang moderat antara peran kader Posyandu dengan pemberian imunisasi polio di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Mon Keulayu Kabupaten Bireuen.

The polio in Bireuen Regency was one of three polio cases found again in Indonesia during 2023, the coverage of polio immunization at Mon Keulayu Health Center in 2022 was only 35% which is not able to provide herd immunity that require immunization coverage of ≥ 95%. This study aims to find out the relationship between mother’s knowledge and the role of Posyandu cadres in polio immunization at the working area of Mon Keulayu Health Centre Bireuen Regency. This study was an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used quota sampling method. Sample in this study was 64 mothers who had children aged 4-18 months. Based on this number, 26 children (40.6%) did not receive polio immunization and 22 children (34.4%) did not complete to receive polio immunization. The results of the Spearman's rank correlation were as follows the relationship between mother's knowledge and polio immunization P value is 0.000 and correlation coefficient of 0.536; the relationship between the role of the Integrated Services Post cadres and polio immunization P value is 0.014 and correlation coefficient 0.307. The conclusion of this study is that there is a strong relationship between mother's knowledge and the provision of polio immunization in the Working Area of Mon Keulayu Health Center Bireuen Regency and there is a moderate relationship between the role of Posyandu cadres and the provision of polio immunization in the Working Area of Mon Keulayu Health Center Bireuen Regency.
