MPU Aceh telah mengatur tentang larangan bermain game Online pada fatwa No 3 Tahun 2019 tentang hukum bermain game PUBG dan Sejenisnya haram menurut fihq Islam yang sudah ditetapkan, tetapi masih ada kita jumpai masyarakat yang bermain game tersebut, seperti perserta tim esports mobile legends perwakilan dari Aceh, yang dikirim pada Pekan Olahraga Nasional ke 20 yang digelar di Provinsi Papua pada tahun 2021. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui upaya dan faktor penghambat yang dialami oleh Pemerintah Aceh dalam mendukung fatwa MPU (Majelis Permusyawaratan Ulama) terhadap game online. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dalam menganalisis data, penulis menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan upaya Pemerintah Aceh dalam mendukung fatwa MPU masih belum teralisasi dengan semestinya, masih banyak dari masyarakat yang berpendapat bahwa fatwa tersebut adalah sebuah himbauan yang tidak terlalu berpengaruh, melihat fatwa berbeda dengan Qanun, yang dimana fatwa ialah himbauan yang dibuat untuk dilaksanakan, maka dari itu fatwa terkadang tidak bisa terealisasi sebagaimana seperti Qanun. Faktor penghambat dalam upaya Pemerintah Aceh dalam medukung fatwa MPU terhadap game PUBG yaitu Kurang koordinasi antara instansi (DSI dan DISPORA) yang bertanggung jawab. Kurangnya pengawasan, dan kurangnya pemahaman tentang fatwa MPU. Adapun saran kepada Pemerintah Aceh agar memblokir situs-situs yang mengandung unsur kekerasan dan juga pornografi, diharapkan Dinas Syariat Islam untuk memberikan himbuan tegas, dan Dinas Syariat Islam juga mampu berkerja sama dengan Majelis Permusyawaratan Ulama.

MPU Aceh has regulated the prohibition of playing online games in Fatwa No. 3 of 2019 concerning the law that playing PUBG games and the like is haram according to Islamic fiqh that has been established, but there are still people who play these games. Like the participants of the Mobile Legends eSports team representatives from Aceh, who were sent to the 20th National Sports Week held in Papua Province in 2021. The purpose of this study is to determine the efforts and inhibiting factors experienced by the government of Aceh in supporting the fatwa of the MPU (Ulema Consultative Assembly) against online games. This study uses research methods with a qualitative approach. In analyzing data, the author uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study show that the efforts of the government of Aceh in supporting MPU fatwas are still not properly implemented. There are still many people who argue that the fatwa is an appeal that is not too influential, seeing fatwas as different from Qanun, where fatwas are appeals made to be implemented; therefore, fatwas sometimes cannot be realized as Qanun. An obstacle factor in the Aceh Government's efforts to support the MPU fatwa against the PUBG game is the lack of coordination between responsible agencies (DSI and DISPORA).
