Penelitian dengan judul Kemandirian Belajar Mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika FKIP Unsyiah dalam Kuliah Listrik dan Magnet Menggunakan Metode Tugas dan Diskusi Berbasis Whatsapp grup Kuliah dibuat untuk mejawab permasalahan bagaimana kualitas kemandirian mahasiwa dalam proses perkuliahan tersebut. Tujuan dilaksanakan penelitian ini adalah untuk menambah referensi ilmiah yang dapat digunakan untuk merancang model dan metode perkuliahan yang akan datang. Manfaat penelitian ini diharapakan dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses perkuliahan secara bertahap. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk deskiptif. Data diperoleh dengan instrumen angket. Analisis data menggunakan statistik kualitatatif. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika FKIP USK memiliki kulitas mandiri dalam perkulaihan Listrik dan Magnit yang dilaksanakan dengan metode tugas dan diskusi dengan sarana WA grup pad semester genap tahun ajaran 2019/2020.

The research entitled Independent Learning of Students of the Department of Physics Education FKIP Unsyiah in Electric and Magnetic Lectures Using the Tasks and Discussion Methods Based on Whatsapp Group Lectures was created to answer the problem of how the quality of student independence in the lecture process. The purpose of this research is to add scientific references that can be used to design models and methods of future lectures. The benefits of this research are expected to improve the quality of the lecture process gradually. This type of research is descriptive. The data was obtained by using a questionnaire instrument. Data analysis used qualitative statistics. The results of the study concluded that students of the Department of Physics Education FKIP USK have independent qualities in Electrical and Magnetic lessons which are carried out using the task and discussion method with WA group facilities in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year.
