ACEHNESE KINSHIP: AN ETHNOGRAPHIC DESCRIPTION
Acehnese is an Austronesian language spoken by three and a half million people (Ethnologue, 2015) in the province of Aceh in Sumatra, Indonesia. This study presents an ethnographic investigation of Acehnese kinship. The ethnographic research is done by a native Acehnese, attempting to describe the kinship system from the native’s point of view.
