Penelitian ini berjudul “Makna Jilbab Bagi Pemakai Jlilboobs di Banda Aceh”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna jilbab bagi pemakai jilboobs di Kota Banda Aceh. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori interaksi simbolik oleh Herbert Blumer. Pada teori ini dijelaskan bahwa tindakan manusia didasarkan pada pemaknaan atas sesuatu yang dihadapinya lewat proses yang disebut self-indication. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah makna jilbab. Subjek atau informan dalam penelitian ini adalah pemakai jilboobs di Kota Banda Aceh. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah lima orang yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposif sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua makna jilbab bagi pemakai jilboobs di Kota Banda Aceh. Makna tersebut ialah makna kecantikan dan makna keagamaan. Jilbab dianggap mampu menambah kecantikan orang yang memakainya sehingga terlihat lebih rapi dan menarik. Jilbab juga merupakan simbol Islam yang diwajibkan bagi setiap wanita muslim untuk menggunakannya. Penggunaan jilbab diyakini dapat menggiring pandangan yang positif terhadap seseorang yang memakainya.

This research entitled “The Meaning of Hijab for Jilboobs Wearers in Banda Aceh”. The purpose of this research was to find out the meaning of hijab for jilboobs wearers in Banda Aceh City. The theory used in this research is the theory of symbolic interaction by Herbert Blumer. In this theory, it is explained that human actions are based on the meaning of something they face through a process called self-indication. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The object of this research was the meaning of hijab. Subject or informants in this research was jilboobs wearers in Banda Aceh City. The informants in this research consisted five people who were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The datas in this research were obtained based on the results of the interviews. The results of this research indicate that there are two meanings of hijab for jilboobs wearers in Banda Aceh City. That meanings are the beauty meaning and religious meaning. Hijab is considered able to add the beauty of the person who wears it so that it looks more presentable and attractive. Hijab is also a symbol of Islam which is obligatory for every muslim woman to wear. Wearing the hijab is believed to be able to lead a positive view to everyone who wears it.
