ABSTRAK
Perkembangan Bola Basket di Aceh tidak mau kalah dengan daerah-daerah lain yang sudah maju. Salah satunya ekstrakurikuler yang berada pada sekolah-sekolah di Aceh. Di Banda Aceh misalnya sering diadakan turnamen-turnamen Bola Basket antar klub, pelajar, maupun mahapelajar. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Bola Basket sekaligus sebagai ajang untuk mencari atlet-atlet berbakat di aceh. Setiap tahunnya di kota Banda Aceh pasti ada pertandingan-pertandingan Bola Basket yang diadakan oleh klub basket, sekolah, maupun perguruan tinggi.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan teknik dasar Bola Basket SMP Methodist Banda Aceh (2) Untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan teknik dasar Bola Basket SMP Budi Dharma Banda Aceh dan (3) Apakah terdapat perbedaan tingkat kemampuan teknik dasar Bola Basket SMP Methodist Banda Aceh dengan SMP Metodhist Banda Aceh. Pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif, Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian komparatif, Bersifat membandingkan antara dua kelompok atau lebih dari suatu variabel tertentu.
Adapun yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pelajar yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler Bola Basket SMP Methodist Banda Aceh dan pelajar yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler SMP Budi Dharma Banda Aceh 2021 yang berjumlah 24 pelajar. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah total sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 12 orang pelajar putra SMP Methodist Banda Aceh dan 12 orang pelajar putra SMP Budi Dharma Banda Aceh. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan yaitu (1) Tes Memantulkan Bola Ke Dinding, (2) tes menggiring Bola Basket dan (3) tes menembakkan bola ke keranjang basket. Hasil penelitian tes keterampilan teknik dasar Bola Basket diklasifikasikan sebagai berikut: (1) sebanyak 12 orang pelajar SMP Methodist Banda Aceh berada pada katagori “ Baik sekali”, (2) sebanyak 12 orang pelajar SMP Budi Dharma Banda Aceh berada pada katagori “Baik”. Nilai rata-rata dari sekolah SMP Methodist Banda Aceh yaitu 223,92 dengan standar deviasi 11,9427 dan sekolah SMP Budi Dharma Banda Aceh yaitu 198,67 dengan standar deviasi 13,64707. Perbandingan keterampilan teknik dasar Bola Basket pada pelajar putra SMP Methodist Banda Aceh dan SMP Budi Dharma Banda Aceh dua sekolah tersebut mendapat nilai t-hitung sebesar 4,823 lebih besar dari 2,074 (t-tabel). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam dua sekolah tersebut bahwa SMP Methodist Banda Aceh lebih baik dari SMP Budi Dharma Banda Aceh.

ABSTRACT The development of basketball in Aceh does not want to be outdone by other developed regions. One of them is extracurricular in schools in Aceh. In Banda Aceh, for example, basketball tournaments are often held between clubs, students, and college students. This aims to develop basketball as well as a place to find talented athletes in aceh. Every year in the city of Banda Aceh there must be basketball matches held by basketball clubs, schools, and universities. This study aims to: (1) To determine the level of basic technical ability of Methodist Junior High School Basketball Banda Aceh (2) To determine the level of basic technical ability of Budi Dharma Junior High School Basketball Banda Aceh and (3) Are there differences in the level of basic technical ability of Junior High School Basketball Methodist Banda Aceh with Methodist Middle School Banda Aceh. The approach used is descriptive quantitative. The type of research carried out is comparative research. It is a comparison between two or more groups of a certain variable. The population in this study were students who took part in the extracurricular basketball at the Methodist Middle School in Banda Aceh and students who took part in the extracurricular at the Budi Dharma Middle School in Banda Aceh 2021, totaling 24 students. The sampling technique in this research is total sampling. The samples in this study were 12 male students at Methodist Middle School in Banda Aceh and 12 male students at Budi Dharma Middle School in Banda Aceh. Data collection techniques were carried out, namely (1) the bouncing ball test against the wall, (2) the basketball dribbling test and (3) the test shooting the ball into the basketball basket. The results of the research on the basic technical skills test for Basketball were classified as follows: (1) 12 students of Methodist Middle School in Banda Aceh were in the "Very Good" category, (2) 12 students of Budi Dharma Middle School in Banda Aceh were in the "Good" category. The average value of the Banda Aceh Methodist Middle School is 223.92 with a standard deviation of 11.9427 and the Budi Dharma Junior High School Banda Aceh is 198.67 with a standard deviation of 13.64707. Comparison of basic basketball technical skills in male students of Methodist Middle School in Banda Aceh and Budi Dharma Middle School in Banda Aceh, the two schools got a t-count value of 4.823 which is greater than 2.074 (t-table). Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the two schools that the Methodist Middle School in Banda Aceh is better than the Budi Dharma Middle School in Banda Aceh.
