 <note>ABSTRAK &#13;
Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  menentukan  dosis  optimum  vitamin  E  untuk &#13;
pertumbuhan,  efesiensi  pakan,  konversi  pakan,  retensi  protein,  protein  dalam  feses, &#13;
hepatosomatik  indeks  dan  tingkat  kelangsungan  hidup  benih  ikan  keureuling  (Tor &#13;
tambra). Penelitian  ini  terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dosis vitamin E dalam pakan, yaitu 0 &#13;
mg/kg,  150 mg/kg,  300 mg/kg,  450 mg/kg,  dan  600 mg/kg.  Pakan  yang  diberikan &#13;
dengan komposisi 5% dari bobot  tubuh  ikan  sebanyak 2 kali  sehari  selama 50 hari.  &#13;
Hasil  uji  ANOVA menunjukkan  bahwa  penambahan  vitamin  E  dalam  pakan  tidak &#13;
berpengaruh  nyata  terhadap  pertumbuhan,  efesiensi  pakan,  konversi  pakan,  tingkat &#13;
kelangsungan  hidup,  dan  hepatosomatik  indeks,  namun  berpengaruh  nyata  terhadap &#13;
retensi  protein.  Namun  demikian  pemberian  dosis  vitamin  E  600  mg/kg  pakan. &#13;
memberikan nilai tertinggi untuk pertumbuhan, efesiensi pakan, konversi pakan, retensi &#13;
protein,  dan  protein  dalam  feses,  sedangkan  nilai  hepatosomatik  indeks  dan  tingkat &#13;
kelangsungan hidup tertinggi diperoleh pada dosis 300 mg/kg pakan. Oleh karena itu &#13;
dapat disimpulkan bahwa dosis vitamin E terbaik pada penelitian ini adalah 600 mg/kg &#13;
pakan.  &#13;

i ABSTRACT &#13;
The purpose of this research was to study the determine the optimum level of dietary &#13;
vitamin  E  dosis  on  the  growth  performance,  feed  convertion  ratio,  feed  efficiency, &#13;
protein  retention,  fecal protein, hepatosomatic index, and survival  rate  for keureuling &#13;
fish (Tor tambra). The fish were fed with five levels of vitamin E, including 0 mg/kg, &#13;
150 mg/kg, 300 mg/kg, 450 mg/kg, dan 600 mg/kg at ration of 5% body weight twice &#13;
times a day on 08:00 am and 05:00 pm for 50 days .The result showed that the higher &#13;
growth performances, feeding convertion, feed effeciency, protein retention, and fecal &#13;
protein were  found at 600 mg/kg  feed, while  hepatosomatik  index and  survival  rate &#13;
were found at 300 mg/kg. Therefore, it is concluded that the best dosis in this research &#13;
was 600 mg/kg feed.  &#13;
