ABSTRAK
Prarancangan pabrik Smelter Grade Alumina (SGA) dibuat untuk
memenuhi kebutuhan alumina dalam negeri yang akan diolah menjadi aluminium
oleh PT Inalum. Kapasitas produksi pabrik yaitu sebesar 248.000/tahun.
Pengolahan alumina dilakukan dengan menggunakan proses Bayer dan bijih
bauksit sebagai bahan baku utama. Spesifikasi alumina yang dihasilkan
disesuaikan dengan spesifikasi alumina yang dibutuhkan oleh PT Inalum.
Bentuk perusahaan yang direncanakan adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT)
dengan menggunakan metode struktur garis dan staf dengan waktu operasi selama
330 hari per tahun. Kebutuhan tenaga kerja untuk menjalankan perusahaan ini
berjumlah 142 karyawan. Lokasi pabrik direncanakan didirikan di Kecamatan
Gunung Kijang, Kabupaten Bintan, Provinsi Kepulauan Riau dengan luas lahan
65.000 m2
. Sumber air pabrik SGA berasal dari Sungai Pulai, Kecamatan Gunung
Kijang, Kabupaten Bintan, Provinsi Kepulauan Riau.
Hasil analisa ekonomi pada prarancangan pabrik SGA yang diperoleh
adalah sebagai berikut :
1. Fixed Capital Investment = Rp. 1.333.489.923.488
2. Working Capital Investment = Rp. 333.372.480.872
3. Total Capital Investment = Rp. 1.666.862.404.360
4. Total Biaya Produksi = Rp. 6.141.174.500.221
5. Hasil Penjualan = Rp. 7.404.470.267.700
6. Laba Bersih = Rp. 947.471.825.609
7. Pay Out Time = 2,6 Tahun
8. Break Event Point (BEP) = 31,9%
9. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 43,3%
Berdasarkan studi kelayakan teknis dan ekonomi di atas, maka dapat
disimpulkan bahwa Prarancangan Pabrik SGA ini layak untuk dilanjutkan ke
tahap konstruksi.

ABSTRACT The design of the Smelter Grade Alumina (SGA) plant was made to meet the domestic demand for alumina which will be processed into aluminum by PT Inalum. The factory's production capacity is 248,000/year. Alumina processing is carried out using the Bayer process and bauxite ore as the main raw material. The alumina specifications produced are adjusted to the alumina specifications required by PT Inalum. The planned form of company is a Limited Liability Company (PT) using the line and staff structure method with an operating time of 330 days per year. The manpower requirement to run this company is 142 employees. The location of the factory is planned to be established in Gunung Kijang District, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province with a land area of 65,000 m2. The water source for the SGA factory comes from the Pulai River, Gunung Kijang District, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province. The results of the economic analysis on the SGA factory design obtained are as follows: 1. Fixed Capital Investment (FCI) = Rp. 1.333.489.923.488 2. Working Capital Investment(WCI) = Rp. 333.372.480.872 3. Total Capital Investment (TCI) = Rp. 1.666.862.404.360 4. Total Production Cost (TPC) = Rp. 6.141.174.500.221 5. Total Income (TI) = Rp. 7.404.470.267.700 6. Net Profit = Rp. 947.471.825.609 7. Pay Out Time (POT) = 2,6 years 8. Break Event Point (BEP) = 31,9% 9. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 43,3% Based on the above technical and economic feasibility studies, it can be concluded that the design of the SGA factory is feasible to proceed to the construction phase.
