ABSTRAK
Buah pala (Myristica fragrans H.) merupakan tanaman dari famili Myristicaceae yang telah digunakan sebagai obat tradisional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan senyawa fitokimia dari ketiga bagian buah pala (daging buah, fuli dan biji), membandingkan daya hambat ekstrak dari ketiga bagian buah pala (daging buah, fuli dan biji) dan konsentrasi yang efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan cendawan Candida albicans. Metode ekstraksi yang digunakan yaitu metode maserasi, pengujian fitokimia dilakukan secara kualitatif, dan pengujian aktivitas anticendawan menggunakan metode sumuran dengan konsentrasi 25, 50, 75 dan 100 %, kontrol positif menggunakan ketokonazol dan kontrol negatif menggunakan akuades steril. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial dengan analisis varian (ANOVA) dan uji lanjut LSD.Berdasarkan hasil uji fitokimia, ekstrak etanol buah pala mengandung senyawa alkaloid, saponin, tanin, flavonoid, polifenol dan triterpenoid. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daging buah dan fuli pala efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan cendawan Candida albicans pada konsentrasi 75% dan 100%. Sedangkan ekstrak etanol biji pala memiliki zona hambat yang rendah. Ekstrak etanol daging buah dan fuli pala berpotensi sebagai anticendawan.

ABSTRACT Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans H.) is a plant from the Myristicaceae family that has been used as traditional medicine. The aim of this study were to determine the content of phytochemical compounds from tree parts of nutmeg (flesh, mace and seed),to compare the inhibitory effect of the extracts from the tree parts of the nutmeg (flesh, mace and seed) and the concentration that were effective in inhibiting the growth of the fungus Candida albicans. The extraction method was the maceration, the phytochemical testing was carried out qualitatively, and the antifungal activity was tested using punch hole method with concentrations of 25, 50, 75 and 100 %, positive control using ketoconazole and negative control using steril distilled water. The design of this study used a Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial with analysis of variance (ANOVA) and LSD (Least Significance Different) for further testing. Based on the results of phytocemical test, the ethanolic extract of nutmeg contains alkaloids, saponin, tannins, flavonoids, polyphenols and triterpenoids. The result of this study showed that the etanol extract of nutmeg flesh was effective in inhibiting the growth of the fungus Candida albicans at concentration 75 % dan 100%. While the seed extract of nutmeg had a low inhibition zone. The etanol extract of nutmeg flesh and mace can be potential as antifungal.
