Kualitas pelayanan sebuah rumah sakit ditentukan oleh berbagai sumber, salah satunya sumber daya manusia yang dimiliki, yaitu perawat yang berperan penting dalam melaksanakan asuhan keperawatan. Kinerja perawat dalam memberikan asuhan keperawatan tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor individu dan psikologis, tetapi juga kepemimpinan yang dijalankan oleh kepala ruang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi perawat pelaksana terhadap gaya kepemimpinan kepala ruang dengan pelaksanaan asuhan keperawatan di ruang rawat Rumah Sakit Banda Aceh. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian descriptive correlative dengan desain cross-sectional study. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh perawat pelaksana di ruang rawat Rumah Sakit Banda Aceh yang berjumlah 95 perawat dengan teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode angket menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas perawat pelaksana mempersepsikan kepala ruang menjalankan gaya kepemimpinan demokratik. Pelaksanaan asuhan keperawatan mayoritas responden sudah berada pada kategori baik (93,7%). Kesimpulan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan otokratik dengan pelaksanaan asuhan keperawatan (p value = 0,743 > 0,05), terdapat hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan demokratik dengan pelaksanaan asuhan keperawatan (p value = 0,000 < 0,05) dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan laissez-faire dengan pelaksanaan asuhan keperawatan (p value = 0,74 > 0,05). Kepala ruang diharapkan mampu menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan terbaik sesuai dengan situasi dan kondisi yang berlangsung.

The services quality in hospitals is determined by several sources, one of which is the human resources, namely the nurse. Nurses play an important role in carrying out nursing care. Nurses' performances in providing nursing care were not only influenced by individual and psychological factors, but also by the leadership style of the head of the room. This research aimed to determine the correlation between nurses' perception of the leadership style of the head of the room with the implementation of nursing care at the inpatient room in Hospitals in Banda Aceh. The type of research is a descriptive correlative study with a cross-sectional study design. The populations were all nurses in inpatient rooms in Hospitals in Banda Aceh with a total of 95 nurses obtained by total sampling technique. The data was collected by using a questionnaire. The results showed that most of the nurses perceived that the head of the room was performing a democratic leadership style. The implementation of nursing care for the majority of respondents was in a good category (93.7%). Furthermore, there was no relation between autocratic leadership style with the implementation of nursing care (p-value = 0.743 > 0.05), there was a correlation between democratic leadership style with the implementation of nursing care (p-value = 0.000 < 0.05) and there was no relation between laissez-faire leadership style with the implementation of nursing care (p-value = 0.74 > 0.05). The head of the room is expected to be able to implement the best leadership style according to the current situation and conditions.
