ABSTRAK

Kompresor adalah mesin yang digunakan untuk memanpatkan udara atau gas. Kompresor dalam pabrik kopi ini menggunakan udara dari atmosfir, yang disimpan dalam tabung penyimpanan untuk kemudian dijadikan sebagai udara yang memiliki tekanan lebih tinggi dari udara di atmosfer. Karena berfungsi sebagai pemampat, maka fluida kerja dari kompresor bersifat Kompresibel. Fluida kompresibel setelah melewati kompresor maka sifatnya akan berubah, yaitu volumenya mengecil, tekanannya menjadi besar, kelembapan udara naik dan suhu naik. Kompresor mempunyai kegunaan yang sangat luas, hamper di segala bidang baik di bidang industri, pertanian dan sebagainya. Selain itu, jenis dan ukuran nya pun beraneka ragam. Pada penelitian ini memfokuskan Kompresor sebagai penggerak pada mesin sortir warna yang merupakan komponen pendukung pada mesin tersebut.

ABSTRACT Compressor is a machine used to compress air or gas. The compressor in this coffee factory uses air from the atmosphere, which is stored in a storage tube for later use as air which has a higher pressure than the air in the atmosphere. Because it functions as a compressor, the working fluid of the compressor is compressible. The compressible fluid after passing through the compressor will change its nature, namely the volume decreases, the pressure increases, the humidity increases and the temperature increases. Compressors have very broad uses, almost in all fields, both in industry, agriculture and so on. In addition, the types and sizes also vary. This research focuses on the compressor as a driving force in the color sorting machine which is a supporting component of the machine.
