ABSTRAK
Tangse merupakan kecamatan yang berada di Kabupaten Pidie, berjarak sekitar 60 km dari Kota
sigli, Provinsi Aceh, dengan jumlah penduduk sekitar 27.000 jiwa yang mendiami 28 desa.
Terdapat satu SPBU namun tidak beroperasi dalam kurun waktu kurang lebih 4 tahun. SPBU
terdekat lainya berada di kecamatan sakti tepatnya di kota bakti yang jaraknya mencapai 50 km.
BBM menjadi permasalahan penting dalam perkembangan ekonomi. Karena permasalahan BBM
yang terjadi di Daerah Tangse sehingga banyak masyarakat yang memanfaatkan kegiatan
ekonomi dalam pendistribusian BBM. Walaupun ada berbagai pemasalahan terkait regulasi
terhadap kegiatan tersebut namun dapat dilihat fakta yang terjadi di daerah Tangse sangat mudah
untuk menemukan penjual BBM eceran. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini dilakukan adalah:

untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran penjual BBM eceran dalam upaya mengerakkan sektor
ekonomi masyarakat di Tangse. Untuk menganalisis penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teori
embeddedness yang dikemukakan oleh Marc Granovetter. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan
kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara secara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Hasil
penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan penjual BBM eceran dinilai bermanfaat dan serta
mampu berperan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan BBM masyarakat. Kegiatan ekonomi dalam
distribusi BBM tersebut mampu menggerakkan sektor pertanian masyarakat Tangse. Pemanfaatan
kegiatan ekonomi dalam distrbusi BBM berpengaruh terhadap kehidupan sosial masyarakat.
Masyarakat Tangse yang dominan bekerja sebagai petani sangat bergantung kepada penjual BBM
eceran. Keberadaan penjual BBM eceran memudahkan petani dalam memenuhi kebutuhan BBM.
Sektor pertanian masyarakat Tangse menjadi tolak ukur terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi
masyarakat. Keberadaan penjual BBM eceran memudahkan petani dalam mengakses kebutuhan
BBM.

ABSTRACT Tangse is a sub-district in Pidie Regency, about 60 km from Sigli City, Aceh Province, with a population of about 27,000 people who inhabit 28 villages. There is one gas station but it has not operated for about 4 years. The other nearest gas station is in the sub-district of Sakti, precisely in the city of bakti, which is 50 km away. Fuel is an important issue in economic development. Because of the fuel problems that occurred in the Tangse area, many people took advantage of economic activities in the distribution of fuel. Although there are various problems related to the regulation of these activities, it can be seen from the fact that in the Tangse area it is very easy to find retail fuel sellers. The purposes of this research are: (1) to find out how the role of retail fuel sellers in an effort to move the economic sector of the community in Tangse. To analyze this research, the researcher uses the embeddedness theory proposed by Marc Granovetter. This study uses a qualitative approach with observation techniques, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the existence of retail fuel sellers is considered useful and also able to play a role in meeting the fuel needs of the community. Economic activities in the distribution of fuel are able to move the agricultural sector of the Tangse community. Utilization of economic activities in fuel distribution affects the social life of the community. The Tangse community, who predominantly works as farmers, relies heavily on retail fuel sellers. The existence of retail fuel sellers makes it easier for farmers to meet their fuel needs. The Tangse community's agricultural sector is a benchmark for the community's economic growth.
