This script title is the use of puppets in increasing students' vocabulary (a comparative study at SDN 67 Percontohan Banda Aceh and SD Fatih Bilingual School). This study attempted to find out the different achievement in increasing vocabulary between the students at SDN 67 Percontohan Banda Aceh and SD Fatih Bilingual School by using puppet and to know bow the teacher use puppet in the classroom. In doing this study, the writer used a descriptive quantitative method. The writer chose 25 first grade students of SON 67 Percontoban and 19 first grade students of SD Fatih Bilingual School as the sample of her study. In collecting the data, the 'writer used observation and test as the instrument. To achieve the goal of this study, the writer had conducted observation for two weeks at SD 67 Percontohan that used puppets as a media. Then. the students' achievement of both schools was scored by using test. From the result of the test, the writer found that the mean score of SDN 67 Percontohan Banda Aceh was 92,8 and the mean score of SD Fatih Bilingual School was 89,3 and the value of T-score was 1,62. The critical value oft- table at the level significant 0, 05 was 2, 04 and at the level of significant 0, 01 was 2, 75 with the degree of freedom 30. The result of t-test was lower than t-table.
Although the mean score of SDN 67 is higher than SD Fatih Bilingual School but it indicates that, there is no significant difference in the SDN 67 Percontohan and SD Fatih Bilingual School. Therefore, the null hypothesis is accepted but from the observation sheet showed that the students were enthusiasm and interesting in learning process by using puppets.
