<note>The objective of this study is to look at some given theories and/or research findings on the use of Total Physical Response in teaching listening. Listening is very important for students in learning English as foreign language. However, the students sometimes face some difficulties in learning listening. In doing so, the teacher should apply the appropriate method in its application. The study found that using the Total Physical Response can help students to be able to use and response the target language communicatively. Besides, the Total Physical Response method takes an important role in creating an active learning process in a classroom. The results of this study can
be used as a treatment model in learning listening. The method used in this study is
library research, which is accessed through various references such as books, journals,
articles, and any other sources including websites on the internet. Readings obtained are processed and described in a qualitative manner.
