This study is entitled Teaching Reading through Contextual Teaching and Learning Method at Senior High School Students. The dependent variable of this study is Reading and independent Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). However, understanding what is read is difficult for students so that the teacher should prepare a suitable technique in teaching reading to make the students understand what they are reading. Learning Community is a technique included in Contextual Teaching and Learning method that teacher could apply in teaching reading. This research was conducted to find out a brief explanation of implementing Learning Community tecnique which aims at enhancing Students' ability in comprehending reading text. The study concludes that using CTL method can improve students' reading perfomance of SMA 4 Banda Aceh.
