 <note>Syntax  is  the branch  of linguistics  that studies  how  the words  of a  language can be combined  to make  larger units,  such as phrases,  clauses,  and sentences.  This study  is  intended to get  information  on the  syntactic structures  of Singkil  based  on Transformational  Grammar   analysis.  Type of research   applied   for this  study   is descriptive  research. In this  study,  the population is all  utterances  of Singkil  native speakers. In addition,  the sample  was taken from three informants who were living  in Banda  Aceh.  These  three  informants  are  university   students.  Questionnaires  and interview  were  used  to obtain  the data  for this  study.  Then,  the data  collected  was analyzed  based  on  the  transformational  grammar theory.  From  the  finding  of this study,  it  shows  that  Transformational  Grammar   can  be applied   in  analyzing   the Singkil Language.&#13;
