One of the language skills that must be mastered by any foreign language learners is the ability to speak or communicate in the target language fluently. However, most of the research findings have shown that most of students are quite difficult to improve their English speaking ability since they are accustomed to use their native language in their daily life. Besides that, the problems face by teachers in the proscess of teaching and learning of English to students are lack of motivation and ability to learn English, large class, techniques in teaching speaking. and personal interest in learning English. Based on that condition, the writer tries to solve the problem by offering one teaching technique that is by using games. The writer assumes that guessing games are combination between a language pratice and fun activity. This study is explore some theories about the approach of teaching speaking skill. Games are believed can give the positive effect and joyful in learning. Games are able to help the students use and practice the target language being learned in a relax way. The finding reveals that speaking by applying games constitutes one way to increase students' ability in speaking English and can give motivation to students in learning English. The improvement students' speaking skill through guessing games is that the teacher must make situation of the classroom more conducive so that the students can study in a more enjoyable situation.
