This study is entitled "The Use of Number Head Together (NHT) in Teaching Reading Comprehension of Narrative Text ''. Reading is one of one skills in english which asks the students to comprehend what they have read such as main idea, inferring. detail. vocabulary. Generally, thestudentse quite difficult in all of those aspects in reading. Numberhead together is one of types based on cooperative learning which can be used in teaching english especially in teaching to give solution for the students who get problem in comprehending text. The purpose of this study is to explore some theories. statements or research findings which wolud be useful for improving teacher's ability in teaching reading by using number head together which then leads to the improvement of the student's skill of reading. The method which is used in this stud) was library research to investigate the use of umber l lead together (NHT) based on cooperative learning. The result or this study showed that Number l lead Together strengths the relationship among the students. When the students learn. the always interact each other. the) learn to Iisten and appreciates friends' opinion. Each student has their own exercise (0 be finished.
