Descriptive Text

This study is entitled "Using Numbered Heads Together Strategy to Improve Students' Proficiency in Reading Descriptive Text ". The objective of this study is to look at some given theories by using Numbered Heads Together strategy in teaching reading skill. The discussion of the strategy is focused on a particular strategy under the cooperative learning, namely Numbered Heads Together. The study found that Numbered Heads Together strategy can improve and increase the students' proficiency in reading descriptive text accurately and fluently with utterance, pressure, and intonation correctly, and reduce the student's personal problem it is not shy in reading process, more mastery vocabulary. The method used in this study is library research. It is found that the students are able to learn in grouping work in order to ensure that they have a learning process output. This study is expected to be useful for English teacher and learner.
