Title : The Implementation of Think Pair Share Technique in Teaching Reading Comprehension for Junior High School Students.

The objective of this study was to look at some given theories or research finding in using of Cooperative Learning Approach to improve the student's comprehension in reading skill of procedure text for third grade. The method used in this study was library research. The discussion of technique was focus on the Think Pair Share technique. The study identified that the teaching reading in procedure text for third grade using Think Pair Share gives positive impact to success in reading comprehension of procedure text for third grade. Gunter (1999) state that the result of Think Pair Share is to develop the participant of the students in classroom by discussing and to improve the understanding the concept. The implementation of Think Pair Share gives the students chance to pair with partner and share their ideas during the learning process. Based on the research finding and expert statement, it is found Think Pair Share technique is effective to enhance the student's ability in reading comprehension. This study expected to be useful for other English teachers and readers.
