Script Title : The Application of Numbered Heads Together Technique in improving Junior High School Students'
Ability in Reading Comprehension.
The method used in this study is library research, which is accessed through the library and the internet. The objective of this study is to look at some given theories and/or research findings on the use of numbered head together. As one of the language skills, reading contributes to me success of language learning together with the other skills. Reading comprehension is the process of understanding the message that the author is trying to convey. Numbered Head Together technique is one of the cooperative techniques that can be applied for an ESL/EFL reading activity. By having students work together in a group, this technique ensures that each member knows the answer to problems or questions asked by the teacher. Because no one knows which number will be called, all team members must be prepared. The students not only learn from the teacher explanation, but they can learn from their friends who also learn the same thing. The results of this study hopes can be used as a treatment model in learning reading comprehension.
