 <note>This study was aimed to find out if the talking stick learning technique  can increase  students'  speaking ability  of second  year  of MTsN  Rukoh  Darussalam Banda  Aceh  that  employs  an  experimental  study  design  followed  by the  use  of descriptive  quantitative  method.  The  samples  of this  study were  27 students  and the population  is the second grade students.  The data were  collected  by using the test consists  of 50 multiple  choice  questions  and the data  were  analyzed  to find out the level of difficulty  of speaking aspects (fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar). The  students'  highest  mean  score of pre-test  is vocabulary  aspect The mean  score  are  10.74  for fluency,  7.96 for pronunciation,  20 for vocabulary&#13;
and 7 .22 for grammar .  It means that there are significant differences of vocabulary&#13;
by using  talking  stick  learning  in teaching  speaking.  The  research  result  shows that the students'  highest  mean  score  of post-test is  fluency  aspect  are  19.8lfor fluency,  15  for pronunciation,   15  for vocabulary  and 16.29  for grammar.  It means that there are significant  differences of fluency  by using talking  stick learning  in teaching  speaking. The mean score of pre-test  and post-test is 38.35. It means  that there  is  significant  difference   of tests  since  the  different  score  of two  tests   is significance  which  is  28.54  point.  The  result  of t-score  of pretest  and  posttest speaking  skill is 17.32, and the critical t/table-t  value oft of the df of 26 is 2.  056 at  level  of significance   5% (0.05).  It  meant  t-score  is  bigger  than table-t.  The alternative hypothesis  (H,) is  accepted   and  the  null  hypothesis   is rejected.  It  is&#13;
suggested  for English teacher,  it is supposed the implementation  of talking stick in speaking teaching is a good technique  in increasing students'  ability&#13;
