Title : The Use of Contextual Teaching and Learning in
Teaching Reading Comprehension

The objective of this study is to look at some theories/or research findings on the use of contextual teaching and learning for teaching reading comprehension. The discussion of the method is focused on all techniques under the contextual teaching and learning. The method used in this study is library research. Readings obtained from various are processed and described in a descriptive way. Based on the research findings and experts' statements, it is found that contextual teaching and learning is effective to enhance the students' reading skill. This study is expected to be useful for other English teachers. The study found that using contextual teaching and learning can facilitate students to get meaningful and interesting learning. Besides, each student has equal opportunity to apply or practice the language. It also found that the students are highly motivated and pleased to learn the language in many aspects of language.
