This research focuses on discussion about comparative advantage of Aceh Province on the international markets during period 2002-2010. Research divided into three subject matter. First, to know comparatively superior of the commodities produced and exported from Aceh Province to the international markets. The result is there are 3 of 19 commodity groups exported has a comparative advantage. Commodity groups namely Coffee, Tea, Cocoa and Spices (SITC code: 07), Chemical inorganis (SITC code: 52) and Fertilizers Manufactured (SITC code: 56). Second, to know the development of comparative advantage index of Aceh Province during period 2002• 2010. The calculation is divided into two periods, years 2002-2004 as the first period And years 2008-2010 as the second period. The results showing RCA index trend of Aceh Province is tend to decreasing, where more number of commodities is comparatively superior in the first period, but then the index rate is decline even no longer superior in the second period Third, to know the effect of some determinant factors of comparative advantage index of Aceh Province. Determinant factors selected is Foreign and Local Investment in Aceh Province, Aceh Province Inflation Rate, and Kurs Rupiah against US. Dollar. The result, only kurs variable significant against the index of comparative advantage, and this is because the export activity is strongly influenced by kurs movement than other variables.
