 <note>Vocabulary as one of language aspects plays an important role in  language learning.  Increasing the vocabulary  building  is generally considered  to be an important  part of  both  learning  a  language  and  improving  one's  skill   in  a language.&#13;
       Songs are effective forms or practice because songs are easy to learn. easy to remember and they can be enjoyed. Song can brighten up the English class and vary the routine of learning. Song activities  for elementary school students always have positive results. The sample of this study is the sample of this study is the elementary  students,  taken  from SON 24 Banda Aceh, at the level  sixth grade.&#13;
The total number of students is 40.&#13;
       In  analyzing  this  thesis.  it  used  Z-score in  order to  get the score of vocabulary test for the material  representation before using song and material representation after song. The Z-score is measured after getting the Mean and Standard Deviation. The Mean of material  representation  before using song is 56. 75 while after using song is 74.98.  the Standard Deviation before using song is 17,25 and after using song is  12,98. The Z-score between test I and test II  is 6,79.&#13;
        From the analysis of  the test,  it  is  obtained that the result of tests after using song in  teaching   material  is  higher than before using song in  teaching materials. For English teachers,  it is suggested to use songs to avoid the bored and monotonous teaching  classroom and  to  make  more  active  learning-teaching process.&#13;
