 <note>ABSTRAK&#13;
Yoghurt merupakan produk susu fermentasi yang mengandung probiotik dari golongan&#13;
bakteri asam laktat (BAL), dapat menghazilkan enzim pencernaan dalam meningkatkan&#13;
ketersediaan nutrient untuk proses metabolisme tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui sebaran&#13;
karbohidrat dan menghitung jumlah sel goblet pada usus halus mencit setelah penambahan filtrat&#13;
pandan wangi pada yoghurt. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Hewan&#13;
coba yang digunakan mencit (Mus musculus) jantan berumur 3-4 bulan, berat 20-30 gram.&#13;
Perlakuan penelitian dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok perlakuan,yaitu P0 sebagai kontrol; P1 diberikan&#13;
0,5 ml filtrat pandan wangi 17,5%; P2 diberikan 0,5 ml filtrat pandan wangi 22,5%; P3 0,5 ml&#13;
yoghurt; P4 0,5 ml yoghurt filtrat pandan wangi 17,5%; dan P5 0,5 ml yoghurt filtrat pandan&#13;
wangi 22,5% yang diberikan terhadap semua kelompok selama 14 hari. Nekropsi dan pengambilan&#13;
organ usus dilakukan pada hari ke-15. Pengamatan sebaran karbohidrat dilakukan dengan&#13;
pewarnaan alcian blue (AB) pH 2,5 untuk karbohidrat asam dan periodic acid schiff (PAS) untuk&#13;
karbohidrat netral. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Of Varians dan jumlah&#13;
sel goblet dianalisis dengan uji Krushkal-Wallis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebaran&#13;
karbohidrat asam dan netral ditemukan di seluruh permukaan usus dan yang paling banyak&#13;
ditemukan di sel goblet. Penambahan yoghurt pandan wangi dengan konsentrasi filtrat 17,5%&#13;
dapat meningkatkan jumlah sel goblet yang mengandung karbohidrat asam dan tidak menurunkan&#13;
jumlah sel goblet yang mengandung karbohidrat netral.&#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;
Yoghurt is a fermented milk product containing probiotics from the lactic acid bacteria&#13;
(LAB) group, which can produce digestive enzymes to increase the availability of nutrients for the&#13;
body?s metabolic processes. This study aims to determine the distribution of carbohydrates and&#13;
count the number of goblet cells in the small intestine of mice after the addition of pandan wangi&#13;
filtrate to yoghurt. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD). The experimental&#13;
animals used were male mice (Mus musculus) 3-4 months old, weighing 20-30 grams. The&#13;
research treatments were divided into six treatments, namely P0 as a control, P1 given 0.5 ml of&#13;
17.5% pandan filtrate, P2 0.5 ml of 22.5% pandan filtrate, P3 0.5 ml of yoghurt, P4 0.5 ml of&#13;
17.5% pandan wangi filtrate yoghurt, and 0.5 ml of 22.5% pandan wangi filtrate yoghurt which&#13;
was given for 14 days. Necropsy and intestinal organ harvesting were performed on the 15th day.&#13;
Observation of carbohydrate distribution was carried out by staining Alcian blue (AB) pH 2.5 for&#13;
acidic carbohydrates and periodic acid schiff (PAS) for neutral carbohydrates. The research data&#13;
were analyzed using Analysis Of Variance and the number of goblet cells was analyzed using the&#13;
Krushkal-Wallis test. The results showed that the distribution of acidic and neutral carbohydrates&#13;
was found on the entire surface of the intestine and the most abundant was found in goblet cells.&#13;
The addition of pandan wangi yoghurt with a filtrate concentration of 17.5% can increase the&#13;
number of goblet cells containing acidic carbohydrates and not reduce the number of goblet cells&#13;
containing neutral carbohydrates.&#13;
